Better "You" - GREEN 2022

What a pandemic horror the past years were! Whew! Now that we have a brand-new year, will everything come back to normalcy? Probably Not! We are supposed to embrace the 'New Normal' and pretend everything has become 'business' as usual.

Well, we cannot change everything, but we can change something within our ken and within ourselves. We have to become better every year, month, week, and day (if you want to see better or the best results). That's when old things are past, and all things become new! Is it possible? Yes, if you conscientiously make an effort (with divine help) to manage your "self".

So, here are some management "exercises" that you need to train your mind muscles constantly to go Green - it's not the color or some sort of a green environmental deal (now you see where I'm going?)

G - Give

In this mundane life, we are used to 'get' from others, expect something from people around us. But it is better and more blessed to give than to get. Who to give? Give to the poor and needy. Because our 'giving' should impart hope for them to live, with no strings attached. To give, we should first be 'content and thankful' for what we already have. Anyone who wants to give can give but only those whose heart is right in the sight of God can make a 'blessed' impact by the act of giving.

R - Rest

Rest is a must, as we see in the days of Creation. How much emphasis we give to our physical rest, that much importance should be given to our spiritual rest as well. Rest in the Word of God, in the true, life-giving Way that helps us to do the divine Will of the Almighty. We don't have to have all the right answers to our questions. We just go according to the Book and rest - the rest will fall in place perfectly in His schedule, as we have followed the Master's plan.

E - Endure

Life comes in its own package of pain and pleasure, the good and the bad and everything in between. Anybody can live with good, pleasant people and situations. But to live with the bad takes enormous inner strength, called Endurance. Sometimes we cannot avoid the tough scenarios, rough people, that come our way. But you can avoid complaints and arguments that will only waste our time, and energy, and complicate matters. So, endure in faith, that even this ordeal will soon pass.

E - Excel

Whatever we do, we do it excellently! Of course, it takes more resources upfront, planning, design thinking, critical thinking, empathy, and multiple sprints, but we should use our own expertise on hand and not depend on 'far-fetched' ideas and external help that never comes in time. If needed, we can upskill and upgrade ourselves and our dependable project team. In all our projects, small or big, we should depend on the Almighty to navigate us to the end result that excels all expectations, including our previous records!

N - No turning back

In a race, we keep running forward, focused on the finish line, for the prize. We never look back! Of course, there is a time for reflection, for our Lessons Learned. After that, we should no longer dwell on our past faults, failures, or negative emotions. Now, we have stepped into a New year, a new territory yet to explore, with many unknowns, risks, challenges, and opportunities. It is time to propel into the future with new innovations, inventions, and customer-centric solutions to meet every human need including the spiritual desire to turn to the Creator, to enjoy a lasting relationship with the Maker of the soul.

How satisfying that will be if we experience GREEN every day of our life!  Let's stride forward with big dreams and great hopes, looking unto the Lord, our ultimate prize. There is no turning back but going forward and upward! Are you ready to go GREEN?
